Fireworks, Fun, and a Little Fire

Medicine Bow Volunteer Fire Department and the Town put on a fireworks display for the July 4th that had the audience in their seats for around an hour and a half.

At 8:30 p.m. the festivities started with families that brought their own fireworks, such as sparklers and little firecrackers. They would get to play around until 9:30 p.m.

Four-time Academy Award-nominated actor Viggo Mortensen is receiving Western Writers of America’s Spur Award for Best Western Drama Script for The Dead Don’t Hurt, a film in which he also starred, directed, produced, and wrote the musical score.

Winners and finalists were announced Saturday, March 15, at the Tucson Festival of Books.
