Winter Sunsets Over Carbon County

Karen Heath captured two striking Carbon County sunsets and shared them with the Carbon County Comet. One photo shows Elk Mountain set against a glowing evening sky as the sun dips behind the peaks. The second image features a church in Medicine Bow, framed by soft sunset light that highlights the building’s simple lines and the quiet character of the town at day’s end. Together, the photos showcase the beauty and calm that often mark winter evenings across the county.

Mary-Pat Whitfield, a resident of Rawlins, Wyoming, was captivated by the breathtaking sight of a spectacular sunrise painting the sky in vibrant hues of orange, pink, and gold. Unable to resist the urge to immortalize the awe-inspiring scene, Whitfield grabbed her trusty camera and ventured outside to snap several stunning photographs of the sun peeking above the horizon.
