Carbon County Sheriff Alex Bakken said he has always wanted to run a marathon.

On August 9, he will be doing just that.  

“I have always wondered if I could run a marathon,” Bakken said. “So I impulsively signed up for one two months ago. It is on the Medicine Bow Rail Trail outside of Laramie.”
