Brendon Reeves was born and raised in Medicine Bow. He graduated from Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow (HEM) High School just as COVID made its appearance and canceled his track season. It was a disappointing ending for a senior student-athlete.

Reeves graduated, and he went to college for a sports journalism degree but left after a year and a half.
