On Friday, December 12, the Hanna library had their celebration of Carbon County Libraries being 100 years old. It was the last one slated to do a celebration.
‘Saving Yellowstone’ Series Highlights UW Researchers
University of Wyoming scientists are front and center in a four-part television series, “Saving Yellowstone with Dennis Quaid,” now airing on Animal Planet.
On November 13 at the Parco/Sinclair Theater, there was a show that was entertaining and just fun to watch.
It was due to the two musicians who were appearing that evening.
There was a decent turnout and the theater had opened an hour before the show, with the Rifleman providing adult beverages and the concession stand had food for those attending.
Local artists in the Platte Valley have established a non-profit art league called Range & River Arts. The group was formed by a community of visual artists who enjoy creating art and exhibiting their work. ‘Range & River Arts’ mission is to support each other to enhance artistic life and opportunity in the Valley.
Starting on October 24, Halloween spirit began popping up across Carbon County as towns, schools, businesses and even municipal offices embraced the season.
In Medicine Bow, the Parks and Recreation Board hosted a Haunted House the Friday and Saturday before Halloween. Organizers put together a spooky walk-through that drew families looking for a seasonal scare.
The Haunted Forest in Sinclair brought out a large crowd over Halloween weekend, with 546 people attending the evening event.

The Sinclair Recreation Hall came alive Saturday night, October 18, as the community gathered for a free Latino Music and Dance Night that had feet tapping and hips swaying.

Vintage sports cars turned heads Wednesday as the 36th Annual Colorado Grand rolled into Encampment, bringing more than 100 classic automobiles, international drivers and a philanthropic mission that has raised millions of dollars for communities across Colorado and beyond.
“I have been doing paranormal stuff for close to two decades in total,” Steve Cutter, founder of Broken Wings Paranormal said. “When I moved to Utah, I met a person and we started Broken Wings Paranormal, but when he left, Erica Mckinney run the show now.”
Cutter said the team that works with Broken Wings, brings something to the table.
