The Little Snake River Valley (LSRV) High School Rattler football team keeps taking on quality football teams and beating them resoundingly.

On September 28, the Farson-Eden football team became the next victim of the Rattlers bite.

Encampment High School Lady Tiger volleyball team lost to Cokeville 0-3 on September 27. The next day the Lady Tigers rebounded against Farson-Eden winning 3-1 The Encampment team will face Little Snake River Valley on October 4.

Rawlins Hosts State Golf Championship

The Rochelle Ranch Golf Course in Rawlins played host to 14 high schools competing in the 3A State Golf Championships from September 20 to 21. Despite the privilege of hosting the event, the Rawlins High School Outlaws struggled, finishing in last place with a total score of 1,048.

Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow (HEM) High School football team continues to play well against good opponents like Farson-Eden on September 20, but coming up a bit short by the end of the game.

The Miners lost 52 to 41.

Jack Cobb, the head coach of the Little Snake River Valley (LSRV) High School football team, was a bit nervous about facing the Riverside Rebels on September 21 after having a bye week the second week of the season.

On September 20, the Rawlins Varsity Girls Volleyball team faced a challenging match against Riverton, ending in a 2-0 defeat. Throughout the match, the Rawlins girls displayed moments of skill and tenacity, with some impressive defensive plays and strong serves. However, they were met with a solid performance from Riverton.

Rawlins Cross Country Goes to Lander

The Rawlins Middle School and High School traveled to Lander this past Thursday, September 19 to compete in the Lander Invite. 

Hayden Hohnholt, head coach for the Rawlins High School and Middle School Cross Country team was pleased with what he saw in Lander to get the team ready for State.

Middle school, junior varsity, and varsity cross-country teams from across the state converged at Rochelle Ranch in Rawlins on Friday, Sept. 13, for a highly competitive invitational meet. Carbon County’s own Rawlins and Saratoga teams were well-represented, showcasing strong performances across multiple races.

High School Rodeo Gallops into Rawlins

The Carbon County Fairgrounds in Rawlins will host a high school rodeo from September 27 to 29. The National High School Rodeo Association (NHSRA) and the National Junior High School Rodeo Association will be participating.

Rodeo is the official state sport of Wyoming. 

This will be a chance for students from different schools to show off their skills.

Saratoga Panthers beat Wind River Cougars 50 to 8 on September 13. They play the Niobrara County Tigers on September 20.

On September 6, the Rawlins High School Outlaw football team had a tough first game at home,especially after coming off a strong win against Burns on August 31. The Outlaws first half hadthem go down in a manner, it was going to be hard to come back. Still, the second half had the

Miners start the football season with a win

The weather was beautiful on August 30, for the first varsity game of the Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow (HEM) Miner football team.

The Miners were facing the Midwest Oilers who had some big players that were plenty talented. It was obvious the Miners were going to have to play hard.
