The Rawlins Town Council convened at 7:30 p.m. on October 17 at City Hall.

During the public session, Debbie Weickum, the wife of the mayor, informed the Council that the underground walking tunnel she and the mayor had painted had been successfully completed. The Council expressed gratitude to both her and the mayor for their dedicated efforts.

Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests seek local applicants for Greater Rocky Mountain Resource Advisory Committee

The Medicine Bow Town Council met at 6:30 p.m. on October 9 at the Medicine Bow Community Center.

Mayor Bradley Buum, Councilmembers Justin George and Trevor Strauch were in attendance. Councilmember Sharon Kahl was absent. There is a vacant council seat.

Hanna Town Council draws massive crowd

The Hanna Town Council convened at 6:30 p.m. on October 10 at the Hanna Town Hall, with a remarkable turnout. Over 70 residents packed the meeting room, forcing nearly a dozen attendees to stand throughout the proceedings. Mayor Jon Ostling presided over the meeting, joined by Council members William Dys, Jayson Nordquist, Roger Hawks, and Sammy Sikes. 

Baggs Town Council Meeting Highlights

The Rawlins Town Council met on Tuesday and discussed what the town should do with the funds they will be getting from Wyoming Community Gas, the American Legion got their non-profit bingo permit, but the highlight of the meeting was honoring Kella McCuddy for her work with the community.

Emergency preparedness in Carbon County

The Hanna Senior Center coordinated with the Carbon County Office of Emergency Management (CCOEM) to bring together first responders and residents on September 21 at 6 p.m. at the Hanna Miner Memorial Recreation Center.

The Hanna Senior Center provided a free chili dinner to the attendees before the meeting began.

Elk Mountain Town Council takes action on utility fees

Citizens of Hanna had serious concerns about an ordinance that was about to go through its 3rd reading. Ordinance 401, is an ordinance which was amending the town code for regulating nuisance violations. It also provides an avenue for the appointment of a code enforcement officer to enforce the nuisance regulations.
