The Hanna Senior Center coordinated with the Carbon County Office of Emergency Management (CCOEM) to bring together first responders and residents on September 21 at 6 p.m. at the Hanna Miner Memorial Recreation Center.

The Hanna Senior Center provided a free chili dinner to the attendees before the meeting began.

Citizens of Hanna had serious concerns about an ordinance that was about to go through its 3rd reading. Ordinance 401, is an ordinance which was amending the town code for regulating nuisance violations. It also provides an avenue for the appointment of a code enforcement officer to enforce the nuisance regulations.

The Rawlins City Council had a special work meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday to go over different buildings the town was responsible for and what needed to be repaired.

Public Works Director Cody Dill first addressed the equipment and machinery that was starting to deteriorate and discussed the preventive measures he was taking to avoid breakdowns.

The community of Saratoga was left in shock and grief on Sunday, August 13, as news spread of the untimely passing of Saratoga police officer Glen Casner. Officer Casner’s sudden death has left a void in the town he served and protected, leaving behind his beloved wife Caitlin and their six children.
