Local Teams Battle Through Early October Volleyball Action

The Encampment High School Volleyball team played Farson-Eden on the road on October 3 and lost 0 to 3. The next game against Cokeville was the same story, where the Lady Tigers lost 0 to 3. On October 7, the Encampment lost to Little Snake River Valley. On October 10, the Lady Tigers will go to the Kaycee Tournament.

Carbon County Football Teams Wrap Up September Games

Encampment

The Tigers played Casper Christian on September 27 and won in a strong manner with a score of 46 to 15. Their next game is on October 4, which will be at home against Farson-Eden. The Encampment team is undefeated

Girls Volleyball Teams Split Wins and Losses Last Week

The Encampment High School Volleyball team played one game last week against Little Snake River Valley (LSRV). The Lady Rattlers came out on top, winning all the sets. On October 3, the Lady Tigers will be facing Farson-Eden on the road.

The Tigers did not play this week. They were to face Guernsey-Sunrise on September 18 at the Vikings’ home field but the game got cancelled. They play Casper Christian on September 27.

Carbon County Girls Volleyball Teams Split Wins And Losses In September

The Encampment High School Volleyball team split in their two games that they played on September 20. They lost their first set against Wind River 21 to 25, but then went on to win the next two sets 25 to 19 and 15 to 9. Their next game against Burlington did not go as well. The Lady Huskies beat the Lady Tigers 25 to 8 and 25 to 21.

New Station Goes Live During Meeting

The Medicine Bow Town Council met on September 8 at 6 p.m. at the Medicine Bow Community Center.

Mayor Justin George was absent and Pro-tem Mayor Trevor Strauch ran the meeting. Council members Lee Cook, Crystal Mayfield and Kristi Wickizer were all present.

Much of the agenda was tabled because the Council wanted to have the mayor present.

The season has started in earnest, although Encampment did not play a game this week. They will face Little Snake on September 23. 

Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow (HEM) played a conference game when they faced Rock River on September 6. They won. They will face Rock River again on September 19.

The Tigers played the Riverside Rebels on September 5 and won by a convincing 44 to 6. It was a non-conference game and Encampment is undefeated with a 2-0 start. The Tigers will face Guernsey-Sunrise next on September 18.

The Tigers played the Burlington Huskies on August 29 in a home game where they pleased the home crowd with a win of 29 to 8.  It was a non-conference game but the Huskies are a team that has made the State championship in the past couple of years. Head coach Keagan Willford has to be glad with this season’s start.
