Seniors from Carbon County School District No. 2, listen up! If you’re graduating this year, you have a chance to win the 2024 Youth Citizenship Award from the Valley Service Organization (VOS). This award isn’t like a scholarship—it’s actual cash given to you for being an awesome citizen and helping out in your community.
To apply, just ask your school counselor, or you can email Cindy Walton at fishcjw@yahoo.com or call her at 307-329-8815. Once you fill it out, make sure to send it back by May 15, 2024. You can mail it to VSO, P.O. Box 1601, Saratoga, WY 82331, or email it to fishcjw@yahoo.com.
And get this, homeschoolers can apply too!
Here’s what you need to do: describe the stuff you’ve done in school and your community, share your plans for after high school, and explain what being a good citizen means to you and how you have lived that concept. They also want to know how you’ll keep being a great citizen as an adult. Don’t forget to include a reference letter with your application.
