The Hanna Town Council met at 6:30 p.m. on July 9 at Hanna Town Hall. The agenda and minutes from the June 11 meeting were swiftly approved, along with board and department reports.

The Rawlins City Council addressed critical infrastructure concerns on July 2, approved a holiday extension and restored a local liquor license during its Tuesday meeting.
Rawlins Field Office (BLM) and the City of Rawlins have worked together to revive Rim Lake, a local recreation area approximately seven miles south of Rawlins. As announced in early May, the flow from Sage Creek Springs has reached its highest point in recent years. Because of the high flows and because the reservoirs have been full for over a year, excess spring runoff is collected in Rim Lake.
Thanks to a generous grant from the Carbon County School District #1 Recreation Board, the City of Rawlins Parks and Recreation Department hired Golf and Sport Solutions to significantly improve a baseball field at the Sports Complex!
Valley Service Organization has invited candidates for contested races to attend a voter’s forum on July 9, 2024, at 6 p.m. in Saratoga.
Because there are contested races for Carbon County Commissioner and Saratoga Town Council, those are the only candidates who will participate in this primary election voter forum, according to VSO organizers.
