On Thursday, November 21st, 2024, deputies with the Carbon County Sheriffs Office performed a traffic stop in the city of Rawlins.

Investigating deputies, along with a Wyoming Highway Patrol K9 Unit, discovered felony amounts of suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl during the stop.  

The subject was placed under arrest and transported to the Carbon County Jail.

Governor Speaks at Fall Summit

Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon said on October 17 at the Fall Summit in Laramie that he was alarmed by a statistic read that day.

He said that it is no secret Wyoming has an aging population, but there is a trend for 18 to 26-year-olds to migrate out of the State.
