Induction to a National Honor Society

On April 17, the Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow (HEM) High School had an induction of new members of National Honor Society (NHS) and the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). There were seven sophomores inducted to the National Honor Society and eight middle school student taken into the NJHS. This will make the size of the chapter a little larger.

Encampment FFA Shines at Wyoming Convention

The Future Farmers of America (FFA) of Encampment went to the Wyoming FFA convention from April 10 to 13 competed with many schools and walked out with some impressive wins. 

Ryon Miller, Raden Miller, Hayden Crow and Korbyn Barkhurst took first place in Agricultural Technology and Mechanics in the team activity as well as second place overall in the category.

Wyoming Master Advisor Winner Resides in Carbon County

The Wyoming FCCLA Master Advisor for the State of Wyoming 2024 works in Carbon County School District No. 2 system teaching kids at the Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow (HEM) High School.

The teacher selected from the entire state was Jennifer Bowen, who advises students in Family, Career, Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) and teaches Family and Consumer Science.
