FCCLA Students Going to Nationals

Five students from Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow (HEM) Family, Career, Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) won the opportunity to go to Nationals this summer.

This is a great honor for HEM, who have so many students from one school going and businesses and private individuals are stepping up to make sure the winning students can attend.

Encampment High School’s Class of 2026 celebrated graduation surrounded by family, friends and community members during a ceremony marked by humor, reflection and repeated reminders to stay authentic while embracing the future.

The Carbon County School District No. 2 (CCSD2) has had to face some hard realities concerning its lunch program.

It can no longer be free.

The CCSD2 school board is still weighing whether it will stay with the USDA program it is currently in.

Two Hanna, Elk Mountain, Medicine Bow (HEM) High School juniors will trade their classroom seats for a hands-on lesson in government this summer, as Lily Borah and Elizabeth Chaffin head to Cheyenne to represent their school at Wyoming Girls State, a weeklong leadership and citizenship program sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary.
