On June 28, on Greg Ryan’s property outside Saratoga, with views of the North Platte River meandering by, three trailers were set up to operate on the airwaves.

“It is great atmospheric conditions,” said Jay Duthler, one of the amateur operators. “This plateau was empty a little over 24 hours ago. You can start setting up 24 hours before the competition.”
