Riverside Town Council Supports Local Culture with New Funding

The Riverside Town Council allocated funds to support local culture during its meeting Thursday, approving financial contributions to the Platte Valley Arts Council and the Grand Encampment Museum. The meeting also covered infrastructure updates, water system concerns, and council appointments.

The Hanna Town Council met at 6:30 p.m. on February 11 at the Hanna Town Hall. The winds were strong and snow was coming down hard. Several guests were from Rawlins and they agreed after their presentations, they would caravan back because of the bad  weather.

Mayor Charlie George and all council members were in attendance.

The Medicine Bow Town Council met at 6 p.m. on February 10 at the Medicine Bow Community Hall. Present were Mayor Justin George and Councilmembers Trevor Strauch, Lee Cook, Crystal Mayfield, and Kristi Wickizer.

The minutes of the January 13 regularly scheduled meeting were approved. Next, the bills and ratifications were read and approved.

Rawlins City Council Discusses Staffing, Water Plan and Emergency Purchases

Yvonne Johnson, executive director of Carbon County Economic Development, provided the council updates on ongoing projects and upcoming events.
