The new town council had their first meeting on January 14th starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Hanna Town Hall. Mayor Charlie George and all council members were present. The minutes from the December 10, 2024 regularly scheduled meeting, January 7 special meeting minutes were approved along with the agenda.

In a milestone start to the new year, the Board of Carbon County Commissioners (BOCCC) convened Tuesday at Sinclair Town Hall for its first meeting of 2025. Among the significant decisions was the election of officers, with Commissioner Travis Moore chosen as chairman and newly elected Gwen Bartlett named vice chairman.
